Recently I’ve heard that phrase so often. Maybe it is because people around me are getting older and they start realising time and the fact that it goes on as something negative.
When we were kids we could not wait for time to continue faster. Faster to the next birthday with lots of presents, faster to the next weekend with friends, faster to the next phase in life.
But now, it seems that all people see the sole fact that time vanishes and we cannot fulfil our wishes and plans.
However, that should not be the case. Maybe I have not grown enough, but I do not complain about time and the way it flies. I enjoy it. It reminds me of what is there now and will be and might disappear soon. The illusion of time (basically there is no time, it is just an invention by us) lets me organise things in life more easily. I know what I want now and where I want to be in X days or years.
If one sees time as an enemy, it will fight back and destroy one. Whereas if you befriend it with all its power, you could benefit from it and fly with it.
Cheers

P.S. While writing that post I was listening to this beautiful masterpiece by Yanni.
